NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY is an annual day of giving where people throughout North Texas are encouraged to “get up and give” to their favorite nonprofits.
LAST YEAR, Arlington Charities managed to raise $47,000.
THIS YEAR we are looking to raise $60,000 to help fund our drive through pantry, food purchases, and new programs. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been seeing more than double the amount of clients and we need your help to assist our community at a time when they need it most.

Meet our clients
Kerri has been coming to Arlington Charities for three months. She loves coming to Arlington Charities, asserting that “everyone is always so kind” and that “it is a very quick process.” Like many of our clients, Kerri has been using our new Drive Through Pantry over the past couple of months to be able to get extra food for her family while minimizing exposure to Covid-19. Her opinion of the Drive Through is that she is “very thankful for the blessing of food and products” and that it is a “great service of giving to our community.” In fact, she would rate the experience five out of five stars.
Outside of coming to Arlington Charities, Kerri teaches younger children at a local Christian Preschool and is the single mother of a teenage girl.
Meet our donors
Peggy has been volunteering and giving to Arlington Charities for 22 years. As one of our longest standing volunteers and donors Peggy has seen the changes firsthand that giving can create. For example our “client choice pantry,” which allows clients to shop for their own food, used to be pre-packaged bags. Our senior program, which transports mobility impaired seniors to shop and socialize at our pantry via a partnership with Handi-tran, used to be a delivery service with pre-packaged meals.
Peggy is a constant advocate for A.C. and would definitely encourage others to give. Whenever friends have items they no longer need, Peggy always encourages them to donate them to Arlington Charities. Whether it is a acquaintance that is moving and has a surplus of sheets and comforters or an American Airlines flight attendant who has way too many airline lotions, Peggy believes there is always someone who could use these items.
Our donors are unique and passionate.
