Robert (Bob) Dawson
Updated: Mar 18, 2019

Robert (Bob) Dawson is an Arlington Charities volunteer who picks up food donations from our local grocery stores. Bob started picking up food from North Texas Food Bank for Arlington Charities three years ago and now picks up food from grocery stores such as Kroger and Walmart. Bob enjoys the “physical exercise and challenges associated with making pickups.” He also is inspired by “the cooperation and assistance of the staff in stores as well as the volunteers and employees at AC.” Friendly volunteers often give Bob out of date spinach that he gives to his neighbor’s hamster. When not making pickups, Bob is a case worker at CASA and is currently working on his third Child Protective Services case. He also tutors and is a board member at HOPE Tutoring. To all aspiring volunteers, Bob asserts that “volunteers continue to work at AC because they see the need and find joy in helping others.”
