Super Saver Fun Run

After seeing increased food insecurity in their area due to Covid-19, Arlington ISD Energy Management decided to use one of their popular annual events to help. Back in April, the committee hosted their 5K marathon called the Super Saver Fun Run to benefit Arlington Charities. Participants from different AISD energy departments had the choice of either paying a $5 entrance fee or making a donation to enter the race.
RACING TOWARDS FIGHTING HUNGER
The Super Saver Fun Run has been a beloved AISD event since 2014. It was initially started to raise money for grants and promote energy saving ideas within the district. This year, due to concerns about Covid-19, the run was “virtual”, meaning that racers would create their own local routes to avoid contact. 150 runners participated and raised a whopping $1,200 for Arlington Charities.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE TOGETHER
Arlington Charities greatly appreciates the AISD Energy Committee for their dedication to community and clean energy. We were so excited to be a part of this years event!
