About SNAP benefits

English

SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), formerly known as food stamps, provides financial assistance to low-income individuals and families to purchase food.
If you qualify for SNAP benefits, you’ll receive a Lone Star Card—an EBT card that can be used at most medium and large grocery stores to help you buy groceries.
